Yes, they are! Especially when it comes to understanding the mechanics of RDF based Linked Data and de-referencable URIs. Creating a pointer system for a distributed network is the inherent genius of the HTTP based Data Access by Reference pattern we now know as "Linked Data" :-) Kingsley
